Homing Software
When an operator wants to “home” in on a source of interference or on another RF source, they can use our direction finder homing software. The homing software provides a bearing relative to the vehicle. Thus, the operator can instruct the driver to head in the direction of the signal. The signal strength display helps the operator determine the distance to the signal source. In addition, a rapid change in bearing with a strong signal indicates the vehicle drove past the transmitter.
MPT User Interface

MPT User Interface is a Windows-based homing software suite that displays data coming from the Series 7000 direction finders. It also configures the Series 7000 direction finders. It can be used in homing applications where only the line of bearing relative to the vehicle is required for direction finding. The screen shot shows the basic functions provided by the software.

RDF User Interface

This Android application provides a mobile interface for radio direction-finding homing operations, enabling users to locate RF transmission sources while in the field. The app connects to a compatible radio direction finder and displays the bearing to the signal source relative to the vehicle or user position. It helps operators guide movement toward the transmitter, monitor signal strength as they close in, and recognize when they have passed the source based on rapid bearing changes and strong received signals.
The application is designed for mobile use on Android phones or tablets and offers a streamlined interface for real-time direction-finding tasks. Based on the Android implementation listed by Google Play, core functions include connecting to the direction finder over TCP/IP, automatically discovering supported units on a local network, displaying the line of bearing from the user’s location to the transmission source, and allowing the operator to control settings such as receiver frequency, squelch level, and bearing calibration.
